Welcome Systems is a classic British software company.

From a one-man-band in an attic in 1984, our growing team now operates from Northampton in the UK, delivering feature-rich, innovative and scalable software for accommodation businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Our mission is to improve the working lives of hospitality business owners, managers and staff by stimulating increased efficiencies and profits through new technology, knowledge and expertise.

Who we are…

Although a software business at heart, we consider ourselves very much a part of the hospitality trade. Our deep understanding of the hospitality sector and recognition of the demands modern accommodation businesses face is woven into the fabric of our software and services. Welcome’s vision is that all hospitality businesses will grow their income and profit by utilising the latest technology, products, services and expertise.

Our values have helped us build strategic partnerships with some of the best service providers and vendors in the sector, enabling us to create products that are focused on delivering a great customer experience and the ability to drive profitability in any sized business.

Welcome Systems has always been about helping hotels provide a great guest experience through the use of intuitive, feature-rich software. Although we have been around for over thirty years, we’re still an ambitious company, full of fresh ideas and innovative thinking. As part of the Valsoft family, Welcome Systems is one of the fastest growing property management systems companies worldwide.

The Senior Management Team

John JonesManaging Director
John joined Welcome in 2014 as Operations & Business Development Manager followed by a stint as Commercial Director. John’s considerable industry experience and impressive ability to immerse himself immediately into the world of Welcome ensured a swift promotion to Managing Director, charged with overseeing the company’s corporate strategy. John’s passion for classic cars means he’s never short of a motoring-related analogy or five and has been known to play the drums in local bands. John is also a BIIAB Personal License holder.
Hefin MorrisOperations Director
Hefin is responsible for driving our sales strategy and managing a growing team of sales people. He’s no stranger to hospitality, having previously been a GM within a large hotel group for six years before an equally successful career in hospitality recruitment sales. In-between his new business development and relationship-building work at Welcome, you’ll find him watching Wales or Northampton Saints play Rugby.
Jay DunkTechnical Director
Jay is responsible for the Welcome development team and tasked with delivering an ambitious and exciting product roadmap for Welcome Anywhere. With over 15 years experience in the IT industry, he has worked for several FTSE100 companies and is deeply skilled in cloud technologies. A Microsoft certified Technology Specialist, Jay enjoys horse riding, spending time with his family and has been known to embarrass himself on The Weakest Link.
Chris PreedyHead of Technical Operations
Chris joined Welcome as a member of the software development team in 2002. Now stationed as Head of Technical Operations, he is responsible for much of the clever wizardry few people – unfortunately – get to see within the company’s technical teams, including technical support and development. Yet, that hidden work has helped transform the Welcome Anywhere platform into a powerhouse of an accommodation management system. When not up to his eyes in hospitality technology, Chris is either spending quality time with his family, taking photos or practising martial arts.
Mark EllisMarketing Consultant
Mark joined Welcome in 2001 and progressed through various roles including support, installations and sales before becoming a director in 2007. Now Managing Director at our partner Business Fiction Ltd, Mark is tasked with overseeing all marketing activity, Welcome’s public persona and product promotion. A self-confessed geek, Mark spends his personal time indulging in a number of passions including photography, music making, cycling and football. But not at the same time, obviously.
